Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a popular Indian actress best recognized for her roles in the films Beta Saajan and Hum Aapke Hain Koun. The actress began her career in the her twenties. The role she played in the role of Anil Kapoor in Tezaab made her hugely popular. Her next appearance on the screen was in Dil along with Aamir. In Mumbai the city she was born by middle class parents. At a very young age, she started to take dance lessons. She began acting when she was young and fought for several years because many of her early film projects were unsuccessful. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and then became one of the most prominent actors in the Indian film industry. She decided to take a break from her profession due to her marriage, before going back to the industry of entertainment. More recently she played in a crucial part in the movie Gulaab Gang which was about the struggle of women in India. Dixit won eight Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen she was nominated for. Padma Shri was awarded to her, which is India's fourth highest civil honor. In addition, she has been recognized by the social sector.
